About Cvaluate

Cvaluate helps job seekers understand how screening software reads their CV — and what to fix. Founded by Daniel Okoro after years of watching strong candidates filtered out.

Why we exist

Most job applications never reach a human. They pass through software that parses your CV into fields, scores keyword overlap, and ranks you against hundreds of other applicants. That is not a conspiracy — it is how medium and large employers manage volume. The problem is that candidates are rarely taught how those systems actually behave.

Cvaluate exists to close that gap. We analyse your CV the way modern screening pipelines do, then show you specific, line-level fixes: missing keywords in context, bullets that read like duties instead of outcomes, formatting that breaks parsing, and summaries that do not name the role you want.

From the founder

I am Daniel Okoro, co-founder and product lead at Cvaluate. Before this, I worked on hiring products and watched the same pattern repeat: capable people rejected not because they lacked skill, but because their CV did not survive the first automated pass. Friends with strong experience would send PDFs with broken column layouts, hide contact details in headers, or list responsibilities without a single measurable result. The ATS did not know they were good — it only knew what it could extract and match.

I started Cvaluate because the advice online was either too vague ("use action verbs") or too cynical ("gaming the system"). Neither helped someone rewrite a bullet at 11 p.m. before a deadline. We built a tool that scores honestly, explains its reasoning, and suggests edits you can accept or reject. We do not promise interviews. We do promise feedback you can act on in minutes instead of guessing for weeks.

Our editorial team — led by recruiters and engineers who have seen both sides of the pipeline — writes the guides and blog with the same standard: British English, no fabricated statistics, and clear limits on what AI can and cannot do in hiring.

How we work

  • Honesty over hype. Scores are comparative baselines, not exam grades. We say when a tool is not the right fix.
  • Privacy by design. Your CV is sensitive. We explain retention and processing in plain language — see our privacy policy and data handling article.
  • Human judgment still matters. Software screens; people decide. Cvaluate prepares you for the screen, not the negotiation or the culture fit conversation.

The team

Cvaluate is built by a small team spanning product, machine learning, and career content. We combine parsing and language models with editorial guardrails so suggestions stay grounded in your actual CV — not invented achievements.
